‘You’re the Boss’ Campaign Kicks Off with No Mud, No Scandal

LAKE CITY, FL– Campaign season at HUB Industrial kicked off today with a surprising lack of controversy.

The nine contenders for the presidency of You’re the Boss all shook hands and promised a fair fight. How long they will keep this civil tone remains to be seen as the stresses of the campaign begin to take their toll.

At stake is the future of the rubber-stamp-like mark that is printed on every box that HUB ships to its many customers all over the continent. The candidate that garners the most votes will have the privilege of seeing his or her likeness depicted in the mark, which also bears the words, “At HUB Industrial Supply, YOU’RE THE BOSS!”

On the line--Candidates are fighting to replace (or keep!) this likeness in the logo

Gabriel Curry, HUB president and current face on the logo, is “facing off” with eight other contenders for the right to remain the face of HUB. “Some of the staff here thought this logo was a little hokey when we first put it on the boxes,” Curry said. “But when we launched this campaign, suddenly everyone wants their face to be in the logo! It’s a compelling way to communicate to our customer our core value that they are the ones that drive our company.”

Voters stand to benefit from the election in a big way as well. Thousands of dollars worth of prizes have been set aside for a grand drawing when the election ends June 28.

  1. Best of luck to all the candidates! I will be watching this election closely as it will change the way I look at HUB Industrial boxes for some time to come.

  2. Hi Folks. I NEED YOUR VOTE. My customers are telling me that I am not even in the top 5 on the polls!! One comment was (“You are not in the top 5…I find that hard to believe!!”) People…my customers think very highly of me, so I must climb in the polls so I don’t lose their confidence…

  3. #9 on the streets: have you thought about throwing your support behind another candidate? With the grassroots movement as well as the pendulum of public opinion swinging in favor of the Smart PO Party a move by you to the Smart PO Party could position you to get some of the credit for the smart PO’s Victory… Just sayin’…..
